In Steve Steigman’s iconic “Blown Away,” sound waves pummel a man with tsunami force. Steigman (1942 – 2004), called “the father of modern self-promotion,” was one of the top advertising photographers of the 80s, despite a lack of photography schooling, and the first to run his own studio.
